What Should I Write in a Love Letter to My Girlfriend?

Knowing what to write in a love letter can sometimes be harder than knowing how you feel.

The secret is not to try to write something perfect. Write something genuine.

You could start by telling her what you love about her. Perhaps it's her smile, her kindness, her sense of humour or the way she makes you feel when you're together.

You could then mention a special memory you've shared.

For example:

"I still remember the first time we..."

Personal memories make a love letter feel much more meaningful because they could only have been written for that particular person.

You could also tell her something you don't say often enough:

"I don't always say it, but I really appreciate everything you do for me."

Or simply:

"I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking about you today and that I love having you in my life."

Don't worry about writing pages and pages. Sometimes a few honest sentences can mean more than a long letter.

The most important thing is that the words sound like you.
