How Do You Write a Romantic Love Letter?

Writing a romantic love letter doesn't have to be complicated.

Start with something personal.

Instead of:

"Dear Sarah, I love you."

try starting with a memory:

"I was thinking about the first time we met today..."

Then explain what you love about the person.

Be specific.

Instead of saying:

"You're amazing."

tell them why.

For example:

"I love the way you always manage to make me laugh, even when I've had a terrible day."

Then talk about a memory that means something to you.

You can also write about the future.

Tell them what you're looking forward to doing together.

Finally, finish simply and honestly.

"I love you more than I probably tell you, and I just wanted you to know."

Don't worry about perfect grammar or beautiful handwriting.

A love letter isn't meant to sound like a professional writer wrote it.

It's meant to sound like you.

That's what makes it special.
